What a great cover! Matias has some really well done covers of Robotech tunes. This song particularly has a habit of getting me choked up for some reason, especially when I hear it at the end of Macross. I would love to cover some myself but finding chord sheets for the Robotech music has proved difficult. If only there were a songbook out there with all that great music in it...

Thanks for your great comment. You obviously know what you're talking about. As a person who works online, I think you're right about Bandai perhaps not having a great marketing plan and keeping up with the times. This is unfortunately very prevalent in the entertainment industry.

Honestly, I haven't bought anything from Bandai other than the Gundam Unicorn vol. 1 DVD. Not to say that I didn't like Bandai. It's really upsetting to hear about something like this. I remember when I started getting into anime, Geneon was already about to shut down and then ADV had the loss of their titles from their deal with Sojitz. But I think piracy had a part in this, but it's also that they were being controlled on how they should release their titles and how they should be marketed. The headhonchos at Bandai Namco The Japanese video market is way different to the US market. Now, companies like Aniplex are licensing their own titles and bring them at their own prices. (By how they charge in Japan). However since the majority of us consumers wouldn't pay for $70 just for one volume of a tv series, we wouldn't obviously buy it. That what led some people to watching it on streaming sites like Crunchyroll or Nico Nico. Another thing is that streaming is the new thing when watching anime, and it helps bring in DVD sales. Sadly, Bandai never had a good plan on online distribution. But now that it has come to this, Bandai will no longer be the company that it once was. At least they let people knew that their titles will still be released and will continue to bring them out until their licenses expired. I know that I have a lot of their titles that I still need to buy from them. But overall, it sucks and I'm sorry to all of the employees that had been laid off and to voice actors like you not getting any work. I wish you and them the best of luck.

Hi Mark, Thanks for leaving a comment. I agree that it's a good idea to have some kind of acting training. The voice over industry is pretty competitive, especially now that there are online audition sites. However, they may be good to get some practice in. I don't know that it would be a good idea to go from country to country. See if you can get work in Canada. There aren't very many anime studios at this time. I would go for commercials as they pay the best. Hope that helps a bit.
